Tips for secure packaging

When packaging, you should consider the type and weight of the goods for sending, and the properties of the packaging itself.

External packaging

Packaging that provides adequate protection is a good-quality cardboard box of at least three layers. It is advisable to strengthen the corners and use edge protectors. New boxes are the best; damaged or crumpled packaging is not recommended.

Filling the inside of the parcel

It is recommended to fill the empty spaces inside the parcel with filling material. The goods must not move inside the box; the filling material should be adequate for the characteristics of the goods. Inside the packaging, the items should not touch each other or be in direct contact with the side of the box.

Securing, taping

The boxes should be strengthened by wrapping adhesive tape around them. For heavier or larger parcels it is advisable to use stronger or double tape.

Addressing

While the parcel label is printed by GLS and delivered to you by the courier, you must affix the parcel label to the box, at the largest surface.Any old addresses or instruction labels must be removed or covered before dispatch. Do not bind the parcels together, post them separately. Every parcel must be identified clearly.
